A tube of travertine cut from the solid stone, very elongated and barely wider than a candle, with all its natural cavities intact: the Cumes long travertine pendant light is a single vertical line of stone at the end of a cord, with no ornament and no visible fitting.
Once lit, light escapes only through the bottom opening in a narrow, warm beam while the stone stays dark and matte, so it lights a precise spot rather than a whole room. Because the stone is natural, every tube has its own pattern of cavities.
Two heights, 30 and 40 cm (11.8 and 15.7 in), for a 4.5 cm (1.8 in) diameter. The shorter version suits a nightstand or the end of a counter; the longer one shines over a kitchen island or dining table, especially as a trio at regular intervals.
