A cylinder of raw travertine, pitted with its natural cavities, capped by a turned dark wood top that fits like a cork: the Ségeste narrow travertine pendant light is two solid volumes, one on the other, with no visible screw or joint.
Once lit, light leaves only from the bottom of the cylinder and draws a crisp, tight circle on the table or worktop, while the rest of the room stays in soft shadow, making it both mood and task light. The dark wood contrasts sharply with the pale stone, and each piece has its own density of cavities and tone.
Only 6.5 cm (2.6 in) across for about 21 cm (8.3 in) tall, it is deliberately slim: alone above a nightstand, or in twos and threes along an island or table for a vertical rhythm that wider pendants cannot create.
