A wide, low drum made of vertical jute rope strands that cross freely between three rings, leaving irregular gaps that reveal the bulb: the Syros woven rope drum pendant light is honest fiber work, with no smooth finish.
Once lit, it spreads light broadly from below and lets flashes escape through the gaps in the weave, so the halo on the ceiling is softer than with a closed shade and the room stays evenly lit. The jute keeps its irregularities and tone variations, and each shade is assembled by hand, so no two are quite the same.
At 31 cm (12.2 in) across and 18 cm (7.1 in) tall, this wide, flat format covers a round table, a reading corner or a sofa, and its low height makes it workable where the ceiling is not very high.
