A wide, low dome of rattan crowned by a conical wooden cap with visible grain: on the Milos rattan and wood pendant light, rods run in parallel lines from the top, then cross into a tighter weave around the lower rim.
The wood forms a neat, almost architectural cap against the supple fibers below. Once lit, light escapes through the openings in the weave and projects a radiating pattern on the ceiling and nearby walls, as the rattan warms toward gold. The beige version pairs blond rattan with light wood; the black version turns the rattan a deep matte black and keeps the wood dark, for a more contemporary, near-industrial look.
At 40 cm (15.7 in) across and 19 cm (7.5 in) tall, it is a generous focal point that stays low: over a raw wood dining table, a coffee table or a reading corner, or in a bedroom.
