A cylinder of natural marble with a rounded base, hung from a black textile cord and a brushed brass canopy: the Tarente translucent marble pendant light is thin enough to glow all over, without revealing the source inside.
Lit, the stone shifts from matte white to a warm honey crossed with paler clouds. Treat it as mood lighting rather than a work light. The marble is pale and veined, each shade unique, and the brushed brass canopy warms the whole piece at the end of its black cord.
One size, 10 cm (3.9 in) across and 25 cm (9.8 in) tall: a clean volume that stands alone above a nightstand or console and repeats beautifully in a line over a kitchen island or dining table.
