A cylinder of travertine sits right against the ceiling, topped by a slim wooden crown. On this travertine flush mount light, the beige stone, veined with white and dotted with small cavities, fills almost the whole volume, while the wood shows only a few centimeters, like a discreet cap that handles the mounting.
The bulb stays visible from below, nestled in the hollow cylinder. Light bounces off the stone's inner walls, which turn a warm honey color as soon as it is lit, close to Tuscan facades at sunset. At 12 cm (4.7 in) across and 10 cm (3.9 in) high, it disappears in rooms short on ceiling height and adds grain where a standard spotlight would say nothing.
Two wood finishes are offered. Light wood, with blond veining and an open grain, heightens the warmth of the travertine for bright Scandinavian or Mediterranean interiors. Dark wood, with a deep, almost chocolate tone, creates a stronger contrast for Japandi or darker contemporary spaces. The stone keeps its raw pores and tonal variations, with no glossy finish.
